Found such fun finds at the vintage shops this weekend!  So excited to have found these new shops.  All are swimming in shoes!  It is amazing.  (I need to find the names of them for you guys, but they were all on Damstraat, right by Dam Square).

ATTN: All Vegan and Vegetarian Amsterdamers!

Found an adorable hole in the wall this evening.  Located on Prinsengracht, my favorite street in Amsterdam, amongst all the creative art galleries, is a wonderful little restaurant called De Bolhoed.  The lovely cafe is a colorfully designed spot that only serves vegetarian and vegan food.
They are usually packed to the wall, so it is wise to make a reservation, but if you can squeeze yourself in, they have a great menu, a vegan special of the day and a pasta of the day.  Two lovely girls were working and were crazy busy!  They were having to turn away customers because there was no room.  Everything is homemade and they have an incredible dessert selection.
It is a must go-to restaurant if you are in Amsterdam and wanting something healthy.  Oh, I forgot to mention they also have fresh squeezed juices!  I am in love.  Find out a little more HERE.
Forest Berry Vegan Cheesecake.  Amazing.

Thoughts of the Day

DIY revamp an old piece of furniture!

So this is my first time fixing up furniture and I had so much fun with it! I found this wine rack on the corner down from my house and saw potential in it. I am really happy with the way it turned out, it is a great addition to our house.

Isn't She Lovely

Time Tested Beauty Tips

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge you'll never walk alone.
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; Never throw out anybody.
Remember, If you ever need a helping hand, you'll find one at the end of your arm.

Opening Day

Yes, I know, opening day is not for months (July 20) in San Diego, but it is never too early to start thinking about outfits!  Yesterday, the races in England were going on and it made me so excited to look for fun summer dresses, big hats, and accessories.  So, if you are in Europe, it is not too early, and if you are in San Diego, it is not to early to start looking ;)
Enjoy!

Mystified

Since when is a size 27 large?!  I will be upfront, yes, that is my size, and no I am not ashamed.  However, I just put on a pair of shorts of mine that are, lets say, snug.  I have not gained weight, on the contrary I may have lost a few lbs since being across the Atlantic, however when I look inside the shorts I see a big L.  Let me repeat, since when does a size 27 deserve a "L"??  Obviously, it does not matter weather it say L, M, or Z, but I am worried that it gives women a misconception on what "skinny" or "beautiful" is (since these days those words seem to be synonymous).  When you look back at the most well known sex symbols, none of them were a size 0 and all of them are beautiful and still known as the sexiest women of all time.  Lets get back to reality people.
