Sleek Cut

So, I am getting married next June (so excited!!) which means I have been pretty much planning my wedding every day. I was looking at suits for my fiance and found some really sexy ones from J. Crew. I love the sleek style, the way they are trendy and fun, but still classic. Here are a few that I would love to see my man in. Plus some adorable bow ties from Barneys! I love his style so much, I can't wait to see what he comes up with!

Spring has Sprung!

Took a trip to The Haag, on the coast of Holland, yesterday with my fabulous French roommate Alice and our other fabulous French neighbor Blandine.  Even though the clouds and rain drops were out, sights of spring were starting to show!

DIY

Do it yourself projects are my FAVORITE!  So naturally I am in love with Jenni's blog I Spy DIY, here she shows us how to make an adorable purse out of a feather duster.  She takes recycling to a whole knew level and Im obsessed!

More ModCloth Inspiration!

This shirt looks so easy to make, I want one in a bunch of different colors/patterns for the summer!  Maybe even a loose flowy (not a word?) dress...mmm summer is coming soon, I can almost smell it!!!

Knitted Bikini

I know this picture is awful, but I promised to post the knitted bikini top I made and I did not want to wait until I took a better picture. So here it is...(I promise to update with a more professional picture later!)

It feels like...

This is the first time I have been able to put on a bathing suit and bask in the sun in so long! I am loving it. However, I officially feel like a city girl, rather than a small town beach chica. The reason? I am sitting in my room on the 6th floor, sitting in front of the window, trying to get every little ray I can get. It is kind of pathetic.

A twist on a classic

I put this photo in so you can easily see the sleeves, but the one below is my favorite!  Love love love!

I love the idea of switching up something as classic as the beige trench coat into something modern and fun, like Burberry has done this past Fall.  The leather sleeves might be a little hard if you are lost when it comes to a needle and thread, but the studs are easy to recreate!  You can find studs like these at most art/craft/fabric stores or you can be creative and create your own.  You can find cheap plain beige trench coats at a lot of places (even Forever 21).  So, what may cost you a couple bucks can look like a $3000 coat!

Cut it out!

Im thinking of doing a version of the top dress, but with long sleeves.

AND tomorrow I will post pics of my new creation!!  I am very happy about it and cannot wait for the sunny weather to wear it.

Hint: Since I do not have my sewing machine here (in Amsterdam) I went and bought knitting needles and thread...had to substitute somehow.

Creating a merge...

I am going to create a merge between my old blog and this one.  I will re-post things I loved and make a one stop shop ;)

This video is a MUST SEE.  Every time I watch it I am inspired and instantly happy.  It literally brings a smile to my face every time.  Its epic.

DIY shuz are amazing and surprisingly not too complicated -depending on what you are doing.  I love the idea that you can update an old pair of shoes with a broach, some paint, or some ribbon.  These are my shoe inspirations.

Who is she update

Name: Lindsey Wixson
Born: 1994
Country: USA

She is modeling for everyone right now, from Prada to Miu Miu. She is ranked as the #16 model in the top 50 models. I knew she was someone special when I saw her. This is the first editorial I saw her in...

Who is she??!!

I have been seeing her EVERYWHERE! I finally found out her name is Lindsey Wixson and she has to be the most unique model! Have you seen those lips?? She has a permanent kiss face. I think she makes the perfect model because she is unforgettable. Since the first time I saw her I was transfixed and then she kept popping up everywhere. I will find some more pictures to do her justice. Soo unique!

ModCloth Love

I cannot get enough of ModCloth! I have been getting such great ideas from them. They have great prices and vintage pieces. All you could need in one place. Here are a couple dresses that I would love to use as templates.

Ok I am officially AWFUL!

I suck at blogging. It doesn't help though that I am across the world in Amsterdam, without a sewing machine! I have been dying wanting to make some clothes. It also doesn't help that I haven't posted any of the latest (from when I was in California) frocks I have created...I really need to get on it.

So I have decided while I am here, instead of showing pieces I have created, I will show you the inspiration I have been collecting so when I get home I can pull out the sewing machine. I have collected a lot of ideas and am LOVING the DIY projects seen on all the runways. It makes me want to go home and make shoes, dresses, purses, hair-pieces, and everything else under the fashion sun.

So from now on, here are some of my inspiration pieces. Sorry people.
